Innovative campaign to encourage school attendance

22/05/2017

Research shows that school attendance leads to positive student outcomes. When children go to school every day they learn more, make friends, and have a brighter future.

For this reason, the Department of Education and Training has a range of free resources to promote the importance of going to school. Although this is a serious message, the materials communicate with students in a fun, entertaining way.

The Every day counts campaign features popular Indigenous footy players, including Johnathan Thurston, Sam Thaiday and Greg Inglis. Resources include an animation, comic book, dedicated website and online posters of the footy players.
