Year 7, 2015 - Junior secondary model parent survey

30/10/2012

In 2015, Year 7 will become part of high school at all Queensland state, catholic and independent schools. Considerable time has been spent consilting with parents across the state in preperation for the introduction of Year 7 to high school. In order to assist Flagstone SCC with developing their model of Junior secondary (Year7-9) we are seeking parental and student feedback. Junior secondary (Years 7-9) is based on practical approaches that many Queensland state schools already apply, as well as the literature on teaching young adolescents. The model the College adopts must be underpinned by the following principles of Junior secondary. Six principles:

  • Distinct identity
  • Quality teaching
  • Student wellbeing
  • Parent and community involvement
  • Leadership
  • Local decision-making

In order for the College to develop the best model of Junior secondary to meet the needs of the students within our local community we invite you to respond to the following survey.
