External assessment

All students in General subjects will now sit an external assessment at the end of Year 12. Applied subjects do not have external assessments.

For most subjects, there is one assessment paper. In Mathematics and Science subjects, there are two papers - some held on the same day, some on consecutive days.

In 2021, the main assessment block will run from Friday 22 October to Tuesday 16 November. Two sessions will be held each day (AM and PM). You can view the latest external assessment timetable on the QCAA website.

Senior education & training plan (SETP)

State schools ensure that students in Year 10 develop a SET plan in partnership with their parents. The SET plan is a compulsory, key component of a school’s career education program. It maps out a plan of action to put students on track for success in senior secondary, post-school education and work.

Flagstone SCC will be conducting SET Plan interviews with a parent and their student on the following dates in 2023:

  • 16 August 2023 - 7.30am - 4.30pm

Bookings can be made via our online booking system. Instructions are available to assist parents to make bookings. SETP interviews are approximately 30 minutes.

Subject selection process

For current students, subject selections are completed through OneSchool. Students can access OneSchool by following these instructions. Please ensure that your computer login and password are up to date to avoid any issues when attempting to complete your subject selections.

For new students, subject selection will be organised during the enrolment process.
