Before school students can complete homework or read quietly in the Library. Some students may wish to participate in Library activities at this time. Five computers are available for the completion of school work only.
At lunch time students may use the Library for quiet reading or completion of school work. Students may borrow 1 fiction book and 1 non fiction book at any one time. Fiction books maybe be borrowed for 2 weeks and non fiction books for 1 week. If you need a book for longer than this you should renew it with the Library staff to avoid appearing on the overdue list. Students with overdue loans will have their borrowing rights withdrawn until the matter is appropriately attended to by the student and Library staff.
Books are borrowed from the Library staff at the borrowing desk at lunch time and during class time at the request of the classroom teacher.
You must present your ID card to the Library staff when borrowing resources.

11.30 am - 12.00 pm
1.20 pm - 1.40 pm

Flagstone SCC has expanded its services with audiobooks and eBooks which are available to download from the online library. Students can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere.
Users may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid MIS ID, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. For audiobooks, music, and video: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.
This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free for Flagstone SCC students with their MIS ID. To get started downloading audiobooks and eBooks, visit the online library.

Sign in with your MIS ID.
Browse and search for eBooks and audiobooks.
When you find a book you want to read, click on the title and select ‘Borrow’.
Start reading immediately by clicking the ‘Read’ button or visit your ‘Bookshelf’ to download!
Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.
Enjoy eBooks & audiobooks anytime, anywhere
After borrowing a book, you can download to enjoy on your computer or mobile device and transfer to an eBook reader or MP3 player.
From your ‘Bookshelf’, use the drop down menu to download your preferred format.
Click on ‘Help’ to install free software.
To transfer to an eBook reader or MP3 Player
Connect your device to the computer.
For eBook readers: Open Adobe Digital Editions and drag and drop your downloaded eBook onto the device name on the left panel.
For MP3/WMA Players: Open OverDrive Media Console, select your downloaded audiobook and click ‘Transfer’ to launch the Transfer Wizard.
